Eucalyptus does work wonders, also taking an antihistamine if you have allergies helps to prevent sinus infections. When we get sinus infections, I run cool mist humidifiers to help the inflamed cavities liquefy the mucus and heal them quicker.
Drink LOTS of water, no tea or coffee because they are diuretics they lower your fluids causing the mucus not to liquefy as well. The water keeps you hydrated which helps liquefy the mucous.
