If you are talking about general weight gain/water retention it could be caused by different things like eating lots of salt and not drinking enough fluids causing your sodium/water balance to be off, or hormonal imbalance or fluctuation. If you are talking about a swollen abdomen, it is usually caused by gas though if it is accompanied by severe pain and vomitting, there is obviously a bigger problem such as a blockage and you should immediately see a doctor.
If the bloating you referred to is water weight gain caused by a sodium/water imbalance, all you may have to do is drink lots of water and cut back on salt....if you don
