Lactose intolerance is completely different from allergy to milk. If you eat caramels (the worst !!! for people with lactose intolerance) and do not get terribly ill about 1 day to 36 hours later, then you have something else wrong.
This does not make you throw up though.

Lactase is an enzyme that helps you to digest milk, cheese and butter (all containing lactose, cheese has more than milk and butter has the most).

Allergies are something completely different.

You need to keep a careful record of what you eat, noting the day and time of day. Also record when you have pains. Take the record with you (about 7 days worth) when you visit the doctor.

You need to visit a doctor. If you are too sick to keep records, visit the doctor now, ASAP.

If you really are pretty sure milk is the culprit, buy some LACTAID enzyme tablets at the drug store. Use two or three per glass of milk. You will need even more for things like ice cream, cheese cake, cheddar cheese. Skip the caramels, even the whole bottle of LACTAID does not help with those.

LACTAID tablets are a natural enzyme, there is no danger of overdose, you could eat 40 tablets by themselves and it would not be harmful, but it would be a waste of good tablets. MOst bread in America has milk in it, so do a lot of other things. You have to start reading ingredient labels if it turns out you are lactose intolerant. Rye Bread is always safe, there are others. Bread that says stearoyl lactylate (something like that) is okay. Only it says milk, butter, lactose do you need to use tablets with it.

If the pills relieve your problem with dairy products then it is lactose intolerance. If they do not, then it is something else.

Some people are allergic to wheat gluten or milk or other foods.

BEST ADVICE: Do not waste time with an ordinary doctor who just wants to make money. See an ALLERGY specialist. That way you have someone experienced with allergy symptoms for food allergies looking at you. Even if it turns out not to be allergies he will be able still to help find out the real cause, such as maybe lactose intolerance, something completely different from allergy.

Any persistent pain is a sign of something going on...You must see a doctor about that, could be NONE OF THE ABOVE.

See the doctor, sweetie. The throwing up is mostly a sign of other things.
