I called the vet and they told me that she may need surgery now to remove has this ever happen to any one else how much did it cost for surgery?
Best answer:
I would politely argue that you should not be charged. Call another vet or two and ask how the abscess could have occurred. Quite often they occur because a medication that should have been administered intramuscular (IM) end up getting just under the skin (subcutaneously {subQ} ). Go in armed with information and very, very politely insist that they should correct what they caused at no cost to you AFTER you make sure that your facts are correct.
**ADD ON** I just had to run 3 of my girls up to the Vet
