Hello, I am 13 years old, and I just got contacts. I have been wanting them for ages, and I finally got them. But, when I put them in, it burns my eye until I take them out, no matter how long I wore them. I even wore them for 2 weeks straight. I did exactly what the doctor said. he said to wash them and saok them in cleaning and disinfectant, then rinse with water in put in. That still made them burn, so i called him again. Then he told me I need to get a saline solution to rinse them with before I put in my eye. But, it still hurts!
Now im to the point where I am afraid to touch my eye because I am afraid it will burn. My parents paid a lot of money for my contacts and they are really mad that im not wearing them. I dont know what to tell them, and I dont think I can stand contacts anymore! I am getting to the point where I hate them and think I can suffer with glasses the rest of my life.
I need serious help! Please!

1st question why in the heck did he put you in a gas perm. That is the most uncomfortable lens EVER!! They are hard and non conforming. Do not use and Opti-free or Renu. You have to use Boston brand stuff. Have your optometrist switch you into a soft contact lens. I like the Oasys by Acuvue. Unless you have a power that is to high for a soft lens, but that is uncommon. I would put money behind that it is the type of contact. If not then get a conditioner for your lens. Like I said Boston brand makes that stuff you need for Gas Perms
