Best answer: when i got my navel pierced i had a hard time with redness and what i think were little infections brewing. In the shower i would wash with antibacterial soap, and then I used sea salt soaks every nite to help dry up the hole. i would j

when i got my navel pierced i had a hard time with redness and what i think were little infections brewing. In the shower i would wash with antibacterial soap, and then I used sea salt soaks every nite to help dry up the hole. i would just boil some H2O, pour lots of sea salt (get at health food store) and soak a washcloth in it then press it to the ring. it might be hard to work that on your nose... i could just sit there with a warm washcloth on my stomach for an hour no problem.
i truly think that was a lifesaver.
