What do I need to do swollen kneecap from insect bite?
Whilst out in my garden last night I have been bitten on my left kneecap. It started as just a itchy lump which has progressed into a massive hard hot red lump that is making it painful for me to use the knee. Its also very very hot. I have used anti
Whilst out in my garden last night I have been bitten on my left kneecap. It started as just a itchy lump which has progressed into a massive hard hot red lump that is making it painful for me to use the knee. Its also very very hot. I have used antihistamine and a bite cream but neither are working very well. I am generally quite prone to allergies just one of those unlucky people. Do I need to see the doctor or is this ok for it to be so swollen and sore? Thanks very much for reading this and hopefully helping out. >

I have used antihistan its usually great for bites but its done nothing. I just took some ibruprofen. Think this could be a visit to the doctors out of hours as its sore to even walk now.

Run cold water over the the swelling, you could also try an ice pack and sit with your leg up but level. If there is hole or mark make sure it is clean.
