I was just wondering if anyone knew whether age played a role in the type of procedure. For instance, I had my reduction at 18. They left the nipple intact and took the surrounding tissue leaving the milk ducts. I was just wondering whether people who are in their late teens to child-bearing age would play a role in the type of procedure they do. Does anyone have any information on this? I was only wondering because I am 17 weeks pregnant (24 yrs old) and really would like to breast feed. Can who has had the procedure or know about the procedure maybe tell me. I know I have a chance to breast feed, but I was wondering whether how the operations were done is based on age. Some procedures they detach the nipple entirely so breast feeding is usually very impossible. Thanks for those of you that can answer.
