Sounds like some type of flu and if you have a fever, you are contagious. The red eyes and blurred vision could be from the fever. Drink plenty of juice and water to prevent dehydration and if your fever goes above 104 degrees for an extended length of time get into a tub of lukewarm water (it will feel icy cold) and cool your body to prevent brain damage. Do not cover yourself with excessive blankets because sweating out a fever is dangerous. Above all get as much rest as possible.
