Best answer: I think you just have to let a virus run its course. You can take over-the-counter medicines that might help w/ symptoms but you mostly just have to drink lots of water, rest, etc. The doctor will give you antibiotics if you have an INF

You can take over-the-counter medicines that might help w/ symptoms but you mostly just have to drink lots of water, rest, etc. The doctor will give you antibiotics if you have an INFECTION, but they will usually not prescribe any medicine for a virus.
